The president of the Board of Directors of the Association of the Maquiladora and Export Manufacturing Industry (Index) Chihuahua, Román Rivas, reported that it is expected to close this 2022 with 5 thousand new jobs for the city of Chihuahua. He highlighted that many companies are expanding and this allows the generation of jobs within the industry. He added that the conditions for the city of Chihuahua favor the industry in general, but highlighted the aerospace, medical and automotive sectors. "We are doing well, in fact we are growing and making a fairly good growth dynamic right now, because many companies are expanding and that generates a capacity for greater growth and jobs for the coming year." He added, “we are having growth in all sectors in general terms, and we are going to increase about 5 thousand jobs between now and the end of the year”.
