Governor urges CANACO Chihuahua to work together to create an attractive city

Governor Maru Campos Galván called on members of the Chamber of Commerce, Services and Tourism (CANACO Servytur) Chihuahua to work hand in hand with the state administration to create a more attractive capital city for investment, during her participation in the Chamber’s board meeting. She highlighted that one of the main aspects that companies consider to invest and establish themselves in Chihuahua: "is the city’s attractiveness and that is where you have a very special role". She affirmed: "We will not be able to open more restaurants, more hotels, entertainment areas for children and tourists, if we do not work together and receive these recommendations that the Government, the Municipality of Chihuahua and most of the municipalities in the state have to take into account". The governor said that this first year was about organizing finances to create public policies that already have budgetary support. She highlighted that important investments will soon arrive in Chihuahua, Juárez, Meoqui and Cuauhtémoc, which will require suppliers from the most diverse fields, so it is a matter of working together to create an attractive city to receive these companies. She shared her pleasure at receiving various proposals from CANACO Chihuahua regarding regulatory improvements that will help facilitate the creation and development of businesses, for which she will make the necessary arrangements with other levels of government. In his speech, the president of CANACO Servytur Chihuahua, Omar Armendariz Jurado, reiterated his willingness to maintain and strengthen ties with the current state administration. The executive presented the Governor with a proposal to modify norms and laws that will allow Chihuahua to be more competitive. He said that he and his associates consider the current state administration as an ally to work for the economic development of the state.
