Governor Maru Campos Galván led the launching of HSBC's Business Advisory Council, which took place in Chihuahua city. The CEO of the banking institution, Jorge Arturo Arce Gama, said that Chihuahua was chosen for the launching of the Council because it represents the best of Mexico and the great opportunity to have a responsible and proactive State Government for business. In her message, the Chief Executive indicated that her administration works hand in hand with the productive and business sectors and the organized civil society, which is why she holds constant meetings to analyze how the indicators are doing to act accordingly. She emphasized that today we have resources for productive investment to generate greater development, as shown by the fact that Chihuahua is currently the state with the highest growth rate in the country with 3.7 percent, which is double compared to what is recorded in this nation. The state governor announced that in a few weeks the first stones will be laid in some of the main cities of the state, which imply important investments for Chihuahua. She celebrated that HSBC executives themselves expressed to her that today, Chihuahua has important achievements at a national level, which motivates companies to come and establish themselves in the state. In turn, the president of HSBC indicated that beyond the opportunities that other entities represent: "Here we have a very robust narrative that we want to work with you". He stated that the purpose of an Advisory Board is to help clients develop their businesses and have a positive impact on the region in which they operate, such as sustainable development, including vulnerable groups and other segments of society that have not been part of the economy as they should be. He added that he will also focus on education, which is one of the great demands in Mexico.
