Governor Maru Campos assured that Chihuahua is ready to host large-scale projects such as the Essilor Luxottica plant, whose growth in the state was made possible thanks to the efforts of the governor, the willingness and interest of the company's executives and is part of the first results obtained after the trade mission to Europe. Accompanied by the Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, María Angélica Granados, the Chief Executive supervised the progress of the construction of the corporate building, which works in the design, manufacture and distribution of materials for the production of frames and lenses for various world-renowned brands. At the moment, the work, whose investment amounts to USD $170 million, is 40 percent complete and will generate more than 2,000 direct jobs of high value for the people of Chihuahua. In her speech, the chief executive highlighted that this plant will take the transformation industry to the next level in Chihuahua, as it will be developed with a vision of the future, with automated processes and state-of-the-art technology, which translates into a highly technological company. "Chihuahua is ready to be the home of a project of this magnitude; we will not let you down," said Governor Maru Campos during her message and pointed out that the State Government is committed to the industrial sector since Chihuahua is the entity that generates the most engineers, as well as the one that develops the most talent in this area; these professionals are fundamental for the growth and innovation of industries. The Governor pointed out that the company saw in Chihuahua the potential and conditions to put down roots in the north of the country and reaffirmed that the state administration is working to the limit of its strengths and capabilities with the objective of maintaining favorable conditions for the industry and thus allowing investments to pay off. Alessandro Trecanni, senior vice president of Human Resources for Operations, Logistics and Distribution of Essilor Luxottica, United States and Mexico, emphasized that the corporate team in Chihuahua is strong and congratulated Governor Maru Campos for contributing to the growth of the company as well as to the development of the North American industry and added that the plant involves sustainable technologies and low impact on the environment and citizens. The project director of Essilor Luxottica, thanked the state governor for her commitment to make this plant a reality, which will provide added value with quality jobs for the people of Chihuahua and the professionals who will work in it.
