Governor Maru Campos Galván accompanied representatives of the Chihuahuan industrial sector belonging to the National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (CANACINTRA) in their ordinary monthly session to present actions and challenges to face. Accompanied by the Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development of the State, María Angélica Granados Trespalacios, the Governor presented before the members of the Council of CANACINTRA and its president, Antonio Valadez García, the advances that the State Government has registered in economic development and thus provide certainty in the investments of Chihuahuan businessmen in the sector that is the responsibility of the Chamber of the Transformation Industry. Governor Maru Campos stressed that with the search for foreign investment, the administration plans to attract more than USD $5 billion to the state with agreements with international companies during this 2022, with the recent consolidation of alliances between international corporations that have a presence in Querétaro and Tijuana, and now turn their attention to the State of Chihuahua. She emphasized that these investments pay off in the economic flow of Chihuahua, as well as in the creation of direct highly specialized jobs; therefore, the head of the Executive requested the accompaniment of CANACINTRA for the certifications and suppliers. She stressed that the recently created State Energy Agency is working to reach an agreement with the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE) to be able to adopt the Chihuahua Model and thus be able to implement, as permitted by law, wind and photovoltaic energy in the entity; meanwhile, the State Government seeks to generate an ecosystem of opportunities that the industrial sector needs and to provide added value to Chihuahua. “We have a clear vision and direction of what Chihuahua represents at the national level and what we can do. We have everything to get ahead and given the external environment, we have the political, social and governance conditions to achieve development goals”, the Governor finished. The head of the Ministry for Innovation and Economic Development, María Angélica Granados Trespalacios, also elaborated on the missions that the State Government has recently had in countries such as the United Kingdom, Spain and the United States and the positive results that have been obtained for the attraction of foreign investment to the territory and to be able to place Chihuahua as a national benchmark for economic development by making the state visible at the international level. Likewise, Antonio Valadez García, president of CANACINTRA in Chihuahua, thanked the State Government for opening up dialogue, which, he reiterated, had not occurred for 10 years and agreed with Governor Maru Campos, that only through work in as a whole, palpable results can be obtained for the population.
