Chihuahua Governor, Maru Campos Galván, held a meeting with the Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Mexico, Jon Benjamin, in a work session held in the Red Room of the Government Palace. In her message, the Governor welcomed the diplomat, thanking him for his presence and interest in promoting the state with various companies in the United Kingdom, to analyze areas of opportunity for Chihuahua. "Welcome to the big state, a region that knows very well the benefits of multinational cooperation. In today's world, local needs now take on a global dimension. For us it is very important to build bonds and thus strengthen trade relations, tourism, investment and, of course, education," said the Governor. The state governor said that her administration is working to give a new boost to the economy and announced that in 2022 alone there are more than 35 thousand new jobs, thanks to the certainties generated in the state. In turn, the Ambassador of the United Kingdom, Jon Benjamin, announced that he will remain in Chihuahua for several days and his stay includes visits to the Sierra Tarahumara, Ciudad Juarez and Delicias. He emphasized that he will be working with Chihuahua on issues such as climate change, electrification plans, emissions control, higher education scholarships, expansion of applicants for British scholarships, among other matters, and expressed his willingness to strengthen relations with Chihuahua in the coming years. The meeting was attended by the President of the President of the State Integral Family Development (DIF), María Eugenia Galván Antillón; the Secretary of Cabinet Coordination, Luis Serrato Castell; the Secretary of Education, Javier González Mocken; the Secretary of Public Safety, Gilberto Loya Chávez; the Secretary of Innovation and Economic Development, María Angélica Granados Trespalacios; the Secretary of Tourism, Edibray Gómez Gallegos, as well as the Secretary of Culture, Alejandra Enríquez Gutiérrez.
